Check out the premiere of Ashlee Simpson’s new video for Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya), the first from her third album, produced by Timbaland.
Ashlee filmed the video on December 6, describing it as having surrealist influences, mentioning Salvador Dali and Being John Malkovich.
Beau Pete Wentz described it as “probably the weirdest video I’ve seen of hers” and said that it, like the song, “has this kind of multiple personality.”

Im not a fan of hers but I have been loving this song! … the video is ok/cool … very 80s music video but I think she saw “whatcha waiting for” too many times. But a big change for this chick.

Yeah I agree with the comments about the Gwen influence. I didn’t like the song so much at first but its really starting to grow on me and I’ve gotta say that I love this video! Weird as it is, it keeps you watching unlike a lot of the boring, run of the mill videos that are out there now. I think that this song and video could be the start of a whole new Ashlee image…it might help her lose the whole ‘teenybopper’ thing and be a little more respected.

it’s a mix of gwen style and the end (white jacket stuff) is very much like madonnas x-static process…..the whole vid is obviously really influenced by salvador dali…..hm…I like Ash somehwat but her whole person and chara cter is just not excentric enough for such a vid

I don’t think it hasa anything to do with Gwen. What the hell? Maybe because I like Ashlee and hate Gwen I am biased, but I think this is much better than all the shit Gwen has coughed up solo.

I am really not into Ashlee, or pop-music, for that matter, but still i like the song very much. And this is gotta say something, since I was predjudiced and absolutely sure that it was gonna be crap the first time I listened to it.
