Fergie has joined the 25th anniversary edition of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, due February 12.
She sings Beat It 2008, along with Kanye West, Akon and will.i.am. The Dutchess also graces the cover of the Jan./Feb. Blender, out Christmas Day, as Woman of the Year.
In the mag, Fergie Ferg dishes about celebrity: “People put celebrities on a pedestal and act like they’re perfect. But I’m more like the people’s artist — the same way Diana was ‘the people’s princess.’ I’m a little more human than other artists. I’m not afraid to show my flaws.”

I’m sorry but I don’t see too many flaws on this cover. Sure it’s airbrushed a little but I think she looks really hot here actually. The Princess Diana comment is a little off, but I can kind of see where she was coming from. She means that she’s real and down to earth and I think that’s pretty true. She doesn’t try to be a massive sex symbol or anything.

What is it about her that just doesn’t add up? Her individual parts are ok, but when you put them all together, she always looks…cheap. This cover is cheesy — with the heavy eye-makeup, bright nails, and gratuitous boob shot, (can’t tell if she covering up? Or uncovering?) reminds me of that shot of Demi Moore (ripping her shirt off) in Striptease — Fergie is entertaining and probably has more talent than people give her credit for, but if she keeps doing this kind of stuff, she’s just another singer who marginalizes their talent by flaunting their sexuality.
