TOM AND JULIA DO ‘ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY’

llrobertsxlarge1.jpg

“I’ve actually gone on a pop-culture fast. The TV shows and gossip magazines — it seems so polluting and toxic now. It’s exhausting just looking at a newsstand these days. Your eyes cross. You can’t even focus. People aren’t as interested in making a cool movie or constructing interesting characters. Now it’s just about being big and shiny and fabulous.”

Julia Roberts bites the hand that feeds her in Entertainment Weekly, on stands nationwide Monday

Tom is so ugly. I’d rather view a dogs rectum instead of looking at his gross face. Middle America is so lame.

She’s so right. I’m always really interested to see what she has to say about things. She has always made a lot of sense to me and is a fantastic actress. And Tom does look tired here doesn’t he? He is a great actor though. A lot of talent for one cover that’s for sure!

She is COMPLETELY right, now young actress don’t care about films, characters or developing their careers is all about fame, being in the cover of US weekly, being fashionable, have a cloth line, be the face of some perfume or other product.
Is no wonder that people are sick of celebrities. They care more about being “celebrities” than to be actors.

I totally agree with her, and I’m glad to hear the experienced actors bringing this up. Sounds like they are as tired of it as we are!
