According to the New York Post, one little fan burst into tears at hearing Fantasia wouldn’t be in a recent performance.
Why is she dropping out of shows? The grueling schedule, says The Post.

NY Post??? one of the biggest tabloid papers in print. Fantasia started missing days somewhere around August. Some of her days were scheduled vacation, some she was sick and some she had other engagements. THats what the dayum understudies are for. I for one know she has been sick a few times and even threw up backstage in between acts. She is human last I recall. LaChanze missed crazy days herself after she won her tony and there was no outlash of this calibur. If Oprah didn’t think Fantasia could do it, then she wouldn’t have approached her with the role. Everytime that girl has something good going on, theres always someone waiting in the wings for just a pinch of negativity to throw at her. Throught it all, she still stayed afloat and some bogus story of her missing those many days won’t make or break her either.
I’m pretty sure the fools above me that’s talking wreckless probably never been to a broadway show much played the lead in one. Tay has 3 weeks left till her run is over and I can’t wait. THe ride, the accolaides and the awards she has won was all worth it.
