After arriving characteristically late to visit her hubby Blake Fielder-Civil in London today, a fuming mad Amy Winehouse lept into an expletive-filled rage when turned away at the gates.
Donning a chic trench coat and her trademark flats and beehive combo, the often inebriated songbird really let ‘em have it outside of the north London prison where her main squeeze is awaiting trial.
US Weekly has the dish:
“They didn’t let her in because she was too late for visiting hours,” a source tells Us. “She begged and pleaded with wardens at the prison but they weren’t having any of it. The rules are the rules – if you’re late then you’re not going to get in. Visitors have to arrive before lunch is served. Clearly Amy didn’t drag herself out of bed in time.” (A prison spokesperson had no comment).
Winehouse, tired, emotional, and stressed-out, left the prison entrance looking close to tears. “This is f*ing s*,” she muttered to herself.
Let’s hope Wino is able to channel her frustrations into a stellar performance at the upcoming Grammy Awards. With her career in limbo and her personal life in disarray, doubts abound whether she’ll actually even make it to the big show set to air on CBS on February 10, 2008.

So unfortunate. I bet she had a little surprise under the trenchcoat for Blakey. But they actually did him a favor considering he just ate lunch.
why is it when someone makes it “big”, they think the world should revolve around them? she was late. if any ordinary human was late, they’d be turned away…why not her?

God she whinges and cries about her hubby being in prison and apparently she misses him so much that she can’t continue on with her shows….but she can’t manage to get out of bed in time to go and see him. It’s really sad that she can’t seem to get her act together. It’s like she can’t manage to do anything anymore…not even something that is important to her. The drugs are taking her over and its so sad to see.
Amy, get there on time, or shut the fuck up and deal with it.
I don’t care what she does as long as she shows up at the Grammy’s and performs well…….I hope that’s not asking for too much….
Well its hard to wake up when you’ve been doing rail likes of coke, bottles of whiskey and heroin all night long. Bet she can’t believe that she has to get up that early.
