PETA WAGES WAR ON THE TROLLSENS

After dismissing requests and pleas to stop wearing fur and using it in their fashion collection, bone-thin twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are about to get some publicity that will have them running away faster than if they’d spotted a calorie.

PETA2, the world’s largest youth animal rights organization, plans to launch its “Trollsen Twins” campaign by unveiling an ad featuring images of fur fiends Mary-Kate and Ashley in the most unflattering photo that PETA2 could find. (Admittedly, not a huge feat.) The ad, which carries the tagline “Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People,” will be unveiled today at noon at the Olsens’ Walk of Fame star on Hollywood Boulevard.

It features a ‘Fatal Fashion’ animated dress-up game complete with animal skins and the accompanying blood; a mash-up video called ‘Full House of Horrors,’ in which footage from the twins’ former TV show Full House is interspersed with scenes in which animals are killed for fur; and information about actions visitors can take to get through to the ethically challenged 21-year-olds, whose hearts are apparently as nutrition-starved as the rest of their bodies.

Says peta2 Assistant Director of Youth Campaigns Dan Shannon: “No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs–especially when it belongs to someone else. These two are a couple of real lightweights when it comes to both taste and compassion.”

PETA sure lets some people slide, and picks on others……they are hypocrites.

Wow, they put huge amounts of work into that site. This campaign’s obviously been planned for some time.
But I supposed they saved some effort because they didn’t have to do much tweaking to give the girls their trollish appearance. Hah!

Giggle. I think it’s cute the way they enabled the girl’s eyes roll independently of each other.

I wonder if the pressure will make the trolls change their fur-loving ways. I’m not betting on it…

ummm…can they not get sued for crap like this? i don’t know the legality of it, but it’s certainly defaming.

It’s ridiculous. How are you supposed to respect their position and support their efforts when they sink to such lows. Defaming people, mocking and bashing them is no way to get the message across. Who’s going to take them seriously when they behave so immaturely.

PETA can stick it up their butt. How can they demand respect for issues & themselves when they give respect to no one.

I’m glad they did this, because when PETA put one of them on the worst dressed list (because of fur), both of them made sure to wear lots of fur right after that. So I think they deserve this. Good for PETA!!!!
