Mandy Moore is all business as she is spotted out and about in West Hollywood on Monday.

The actress/singer picked up dinner at an uber expensive restaurant on Third Street. Photogs snapped an indifferent Mandy carelessly walking by a homeless veteran, who was begging for food, without paying attention.

Looks like Mandy really isn’t as sweet as candy.

I don’t blame Mandy Moore for not giving him money. I’ve done that before many times and I’ve stopped doing it. I’ve realized, there’s a mission pretty much everywhere in every state where these people can go and get food and shelter. There are also agency which are willing to help these people find job and training which a lot of them don’t take advantage of because it’s like “I don’t want to work at McDonald’s”. It’s like whatever, at least you get a chance to find a job. That’s why I don’t feel sorry for these people because I’m from a country where there is no opportunity whereas here in the U.S., there are at least opportunities. In my country, if you’re poor, you’re poor until death. You have no chance whatsoever to rise above your circumstances.

I gave ten bucks to a homeless guy a few years ago and then not five minutes later I saw him in front of me in line at the liquor store buying a bottle of vodka. I’m done giving money to homeless people, I’ll give it to homeless charities instead.
Not saying all homeless people are like this, btw, I’m just sayin’.

i don’t give money to homeless people either. i’m afraid they’d go buy more alcohol — exactly what saywhut said.

I don’t give to the homeless either. the homeless here are soo aggressive. They try to guilt you for not giving them anything. The problem is they are hitting me up at the gas stations. Gas stations are the last place I want to be charitable.

maybe she gave him money on her way in, not on her way out. and sorry but there are shelters and ways to find jobs.

Add me to the list of those who don’t give to the “homeless”. There are too many people in the world who are ready to take advantage of those who are willing to give.

They are hundreds of homeless people in that area, how can you trash her for this? Everyone does it.

That’s stupid to even bring up that she didn’t give that guy any money! I never give homeless people money! Most of them are going to go buy alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs with it. If anything, give them food or water…and there are homeless shelters and food kitchens. It annoys me when I see pictures of people actually giving them money…food or water is okay, money is not, they don’t know how to use it.
