For Hilary Duff, body image issues are so yesterday.
“There definitely was a time, about a year and a half ago, when I was pretty obsessed with my body and my weight,” dishes the 20-year-old mogul in the January issue of Cosmopolitan on newsstands Tuesday. “But I’m better not stressing about my body all the time. It’s not attractive when girls get superskinny. Guys don’t like it. Girls don’t like you as much. You lose some happiness when that’s all you think about.”

I missed the days when Helen Gurley Brown was at the helm at Cosmo and even Bonnie Fuller. Their covers aren’t as sexy as they used to be. What’s happened? Hilary Duff?

Cosmo is such a crappy magazine.. all they do is reprint the same sh*t different cover.. BORING!! P.s of course the covers aren’t sexy anymore.. that got unsexy people like Hilary duff on the covers.. she tries so hard to be sexy… she can never be sexy.. GIVE IT UP DUFF! hahaha
With Helen Gurley Brown at the helm, Francesco Scavullo as primary photographer and Sean Bryans as the main stylist, Cosmopolitan did what no other magazine had before; the magazine became Iconic. “That Cosmo Girl” was immediately identifiable; sexy, gorgeous, smart and worldly. It seemed to be somewhat prestigious to be the cover model. When appearing on the cover, the models were made to look more beautiful than they ever had.
The magazine now has taken a sad nose-dive in the style department. Some of the loveliest woman appear on the cover today and look positively Horrid . If you compare the magazine, then (70’s - 80’s - 90’s) and now, it seems they’re aiming for broad unoffensive appeal. The earlier years are much more sophisticated in style and appeal. Now every cover looks like someone who doesn’t care how she looks ( same clothes, same hair, same pose). Really Awful.

you guys are way to tough on this sweet, young and beautiful young woman. she is a wonderful role model for younger girls who look up to her. she is better than most people of her age, i mean let’s take a look at lindsay lohan that didn’t go so well and neither did britytney spears. milaey cyrus who is only 15 years old is already become a lesbian, kissing girls with the lip lock and taking photos only with her bra and thong on. also et’s take a look at vannessa hudgens who took NUDE photos of herself and sent them to drake bell! when you write something about someone who is actually a polite, and thoughtful person in this world think twice before you write something bad or horrific about them.
i compeletly agree with what the girl above had to say about her, but i also have to add- if what you are looking for on a cosmo ad is sexiness with a twenty - year - old girl you are insane. leave the girl alone for god’s sake
