Country bumpkin Carrie Underwood is pretty in pink in the January issue of Glamour magazine.

In the new issue, the American Idol alum dishes on her style secrets.

Carrie on how her style knowledge has changed since skyrocketing to fame: “I’ll go home and one of my friends will say, ‘Oh my, gosh, those shoes are so cute.’ And I’ll say, ‘Oh, they’re Christian Louboutins. They’re like, ‘What?’ So yeah, I’ve definitely learned more names.”

Carrie on her ultra slim bod: “I work out. I like cardio. That big exercise ball, we’re friends. I’m slightly obsessive-compulsive about what I eat, more than I should be. I write down everything I eat … I started doing it last year. And in the last year is when I’ve gotten more healthy and lost weight.”

Carrie on how her vegetarianism affect her dating life: “I don’t think I could kiss someone after they ate a hamburger ’cause they would probably taste like it, and that would gross me out.”

Carrie on keeping things conservative: “Cleavage can be done in a tasteful manner — you can be intelligent, sexy and not have boobs everywhere.”

Carrie on her Sephora addiction: “I have a giant makeup case, more makeup than any girl should have in her lifetime.”

Omg…those are some of the dumbest quotes I’ve ever read. She writes down everything she eats? Um…OK.

    it’s not “dumb”. It’s obsessive.
mel, you are lucky, because you sound like you don’t have any issues with food.

Why do they always pic the worst picture for the cover shot? All magazines seem to do this.

Even if I did write down everything I ate, I would never admit it to anyone, let alone let them QUOTE me on it –so yes, it is kinda dumb…..But I think the dumbest quote is the first one. Seriously, who hasn’t heard of Louboutins?

You know this is probably why Tony and her didn’t work out, he seems like a steak and potato type of guy, in fact he has a barbeque or steak joints all over Texas (well I saw a few in San Antonio), so it’s shorta funny.

Actually Noticed: I haven’t heard of it until I come to this site… I still don’t really know how to say it, and I am pretty broad in terms of living in a big city, and traveling… ANd Carrie’s from a small town so I am sure her friends haven’t heard of many things city people have.

PSL, I’m gonna have to agree with mel, it’s pathetic that she would admit her obsessive compulsive behavior to a national magazine. You’re supposed to get help, not be proud of it. She os right about having ( and wearing) ,ore makeup than a girl should ever need. She is a pretty girl, I have no idea why she keeps piling it on. She must be THAT insecure.

writing down everything you eat is not that crazy, people. it’s called keeping a food log and it is a great way to curb mindless eating. i’ve heard lots of dieticians recommend it. i think the logic behind the log is that you really don’t want to have to write down two handful of MMs (300 cal); chicken burrito (900 cal), etc., all before dinner.

Yes, she has more makeup than any girl should & every bit of it is always on her face. Too much!! Reminds me of Xtina.

FYI MeSoup, Tony Roma’s is not Tony Romo’s restaurant. It’s been around forever. And I have to agree w/ mae; the girl is not crazy for keeping a food journal! Do you know how many nutritionists and trainers tell you to do that? I don’t do it now but have done it in the past and it works.
