It was deemed as the fight that was going to bring the people back to boxing. And while it didn’t achieve that feat, last night’s fight between Oscar de la Hoya and Floyd Mayweather did have celebs cramming inside the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.
Among those in the house included rapper Snoop Dogg and hip hop moguls Jay Z and Diddy; NBA legends Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan; singers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony (who sang the national anthem), Mary J. Blige and Tom Jones; and actors Denzel Washington, Eddie Murphy, Jack Nicholson, John Cusack, Matthew McConaughey, Helen Mirren, Eva Longoria, Russell Crowe and Tobey Maguire.
A true galaxy of stars, if you will.
As for the fight (if any of you were interested), Prettyboy Floyd maintained his undefeated record by winning a 12-round split decision over de la Hoya.
And in his trademark Kennedy-esque way, Mayweather gracefully and humbly accepted his win by saying: “It was easy work for me. He was rough and tough. But he couldn’t beat the best.”

Jim Carrey really needs to cut the hair. Jenny’s hair cut is fabulous, though. J. Lo looks great as always and Marc loked suprisingly less coked out of his mind. He can sing his ass off, though.
