Brad Pitt unveils his vision to rebuild parts of Hurricane Katrina-ravaged New Orleans, having put in $5 million of his own money.
Brad went on TV’s Today Show and walked around pink tents which mark land where the first homes in his ‘Make It Right’ project will be. The hunky 43-year-old actor revealed plans for some of the housing designs. And after revealing that he has put up $5 million of his own money he appealed for “foundations, individuals of means, church groups” to donate and “help the families of New Orleans get back into their homes.”
“We can do it, it’s ready to go,” he said, explaining that each home would cost $150 000. Pitt said his love for his own family inspired his commitment to the project. “Love of my family brings me here,” he said.

BJB….(dont want to start anything) but so many celebrities should use that much of their money but they dont and instead they buy crazy amounts of money in clothes and house(s) and other stupid shit. I would think the best thing to do is applaud him for using so much of his money and think that maybe is he still trying to bring media attention to New Orleans. Many people(including are govt. “whatever”!!) have forgotten about or dont even really know how bad it really was down there.
Hey folks it doesn’t touch his and the AJolie pocket book, it is a tax deduction for them and it doesn’t cost them a thing! And sorry weren’t those people living in shacks at best before the flooding and Katrina! I know first hand I was there before the diaster! They lived very poor, un-educated lives so this will be much nicer than they have ever known! I’m sorry I applaud the fact that he donated the money so nona shut the fuck up don’t insult me. I don’t however applaud the fact that he has to show his or Angelina’s mug in order to feel he is raising awareness about it, and to broadcast all over the world that he donated this and this amount if obnoxious and pathetic.
I think the publicity is good. Get the word out. Talk to Ann, Meredith, Oprah, Larry, Ellen…whomever. Reach as many people as you can. Maybe others will be inspired to donate as well. Doesn’t matter if it’s big or small.

well, the mantra on the Internet was “it wont last a year” and now they are going to their 4º year together and they look very settled, they want more kids and truly seems like a happy family, admit many thought that would be over by now. I can totally see Angelina getting pregnant in 2008
