In a pact with MTV, Britney is running a new contest called “Britney Spears Wants a Piece of You.”
On Monday, MTV will make footage available from its archives – interviews, red-carpet appearances and performances – for Brit fans to remix into a video of 3:34 or shorter.
Submissions are due December 14. MTV, Jive Records and Britney will determine a winner, which will air on TRL on December 20.
Britney’s official video ain’t going to drop until 2008.

Does anyone even watch TRL anymore? I stopped after Carson Daly left.
MTV does suck, well the Canadian one at least, Ive never really seen the American one… who couldn’t do a video better? Shes probably oing to steal ideas and use them as her own! Evil!

Plus that is a big joke to see if anyone can do her video better. Of course they can! First off any of us will show up on time, be sane enough to do what we are asked, without picking up dog sh*t with a Versace dress, and to finish the video on time and not waste workers time and money from the budget.
I guess this is easier for her. She will not have to finish the video now. Thay will just use the one that wins, and noboby will have to look at what she looks like now. You know that the winner will be filled with images of her when she was hot.

The song is really good and written by Swedish artist Robyn! Robyn was a young star like Britney herself but she went a totally different way, starting up her own record company… guess she’s way more intelligent! I really like the lyrics to this song.

So they are going to show this fan made video until the official one is released? Interesting idea. I guess it works for Britney who seems to be kind of slow in getting these things done. I think fan videos are great though and her past videos are fantastic and they have the potential to be made into a really good video. I love the song so I hope whoever makes the video does it justice.
