“We’re hoping they get to come home from the hospital, but we don’t know how long that will be. … You’ve got these fragile little kids going through a medical crisis they absolutely did not need to go through.”
That’s what Blake Bluffington, brother of Dennis Quaid’s wife, Kimberly, tells People magazine, on stands Friday.
The couple’s twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, were born (via surrogate) on November 8. But the newborns are still at Cedars-Sinai, having suffered first staph infections and later an overdose of a blood thinner.

These kids were born through a surrogate? Hmm, I hadn’t read that before.
And Bluffington? I can’t believe people are actually named that outside of soap operas and romance novels.
That’s sad about them babies, though.

Poor little babies! and we feel very bad for the parents. That is just really sad and should never have happened.

Yeah the fact that they were born through a surrogate is news to me as well. You don’t hear of that happening too often recently…well I don’t anyway.
I just pray that these little girls pull through, my thoughts are with them. And while yes it was a mistake, it was a mistake that NEVER should have been allowed to happen. People working in the medical profession are playing with peoples lives and need to be on the ball all the time.

A boy and a girl actually.
This is just awful. I’m saying a prayer for them.
