Paris Hilton’s mother, Kathy, was very agitated after the verdict against her daughter was pronounced. In front a slew of media, she went up to the public prosecutor and said “I want your autograph. This is pathetic.”
More intriguingly, as she walked out of the courtroom Kathy said, “I can’t believe all the money we spent on this.”
It is likely Kathy was more upset than she ought to have been because despite being asked to serve 45 days in prison, Paris may not serve even a single day. As a result of overcrowding in jails offenders awarded light sentences are often let off shortly following their incarceration.
As you may recall, former ‘Lost’ star Michelle Rodriguez, who was sentenced to 60 days in jail for similarly having violated her probation over a DUI conviction, was let go after just 2 hours at the very same correctional facility - Century Regional Detention Facility.

i dont think she should go to jail anyways….she doesnt deserved it….put her on SCRAM so the bitch can drink for a couple months…that will hurt her. HAHHAHA…or house arrest HAHAHAH that would be hilarious but anyways…i feel bad for her because i’ve known many other crimials who never went to jail, had millions of chances and are still walking the streets. If my daughter was sent to prison for a driving offense pretty much just to set an example than I would be insulting the judge to. It seems to me that the prosecuters decided that they needed to get a point across but sending Paris to jail and it really isn’t fair that theres drug dealers and people like Pete Doherty out there running free while Paris is in jail for what obviously seems to be a miscommunication. Yes, she should never have drink drove in the first place but I’m sure if she knew she wasn’t allowed to drive then she wouldn’t have. A hefty fee or house arrest even would have suited just fine.
45 days seems like a fair sentence for ANYONE caught drunk driving for the first time. I think it should be A LOT more if you do it again. Seriously, too many people get killed and it’s SO EASY to avoid.
Truly, I totally agree with you AND she has the money to have a driver! Most people do not. They have to depend on family, friends or public transportation. There is absolutely NO REASON this horrible person is on the road with a suspended license. Her money can pay for a full-time-round-the-clock limo for her beck and call. I never said Pete was a drug dealer. But I mean he is a self-confessed junkie who shoots up every day and runs round at award shows squirting blood filled syringes. Whether he’s dealing or not he’s a nutjob whose every action is pretty much illegal….so why isn’t he in jail? He’s had about a hundred warnings and has been sent to rehab a few times and still hasn’t reformed.
