Lisa Kudrow and a heavily done up Zach Braff were on hand today to announce the nominees for the upcoming 2007 Spirit Awards at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.
Here’s a little rundown of the nominees up for contention for the big awards:
Best Feature Film: “”The Diving Bell and the Butterfly,” “I’m Not There,” “Juno,” “A Mighty Heart” and “Paranoid Park.”
Best Female Lead: Angelina Jolie for “A Mighty Heart,” Sienna Miller for “Interview,” Ellen Page for “Juno,” Parker Posey for “Broken English” and Tang Wei for “Lust, Caution.”
Best Male Lead: Pedro Castanda for “August Evening,” Don Cheadle for “Talk to Me,” Philip Seymour Hoffman for “The Savages,” Frank Langella for “Starting Out in the Evening” and Tony Leung for “Lust, Caution.”
The nominations for the 23rd annual Spirit Awards officially kicked off the 2007 movie awards season: The nominations are announced early on, but the awards aren’t given out until February 23, the day before the Oscars, at a ceremony that has become one of the season’s premier events.

Lisa looks better than usual. She has just never been attractive to me at all. God help everyone with all the Jolie coverage that is going to take place now with the awards and that movie. They have been out of the spotlight it seems for like a month and now here they come. Remember when we used to see pictures every single day of them picking up/dropping off Maddox at school?

In his defense, if this was being shot in HD you have to wear that much makeup, otherwise every pore shows up in HD.

I’m excited that Ellen Page, Don Cheadle and Angelina were recognized for their performances..outstanding jobs..but congratulations to all the nominees.
If Jolie wins this than her Oscar chances and her buzz will grow a lot, Paramount will make a big campaing for her.

That would be quite funny, two years ago everybody thought that she and Brad Pitt would suffer a huge deal in their career because of their hook up, but looking now their career didn’t suffered at all, in fact I think they are even more famous and in demand than 3 years ago. And guess who became the loser in that story?
