As we reach the final innings in the custody war between Britney Spears and her ex-hubby Kevin Federline, lawyers from both sides have revealed that their clients will not be in court today.
Around 9 AM PST, lawyers for both sides entered into a closed door hearing. Reps from the drug testing lab are in attendance, as are folks from the L.A. County dept. of Child & Family Services.
The court is currently on break after Douglas Hunter, attorney for Dept. of Child & Family Services, asked to see a full report on Brit’s parenting skills (he’s only ever seen a redacted version with sections blacked out.) Lawyers for the beleaguered star argued that the Dept. shouldn’t see the unedited version because it could then be circulated throughout the Dept.’s “huge bureaucracy,” almost guaranteeing a leak of information.
A decision has already been made and will be handed down shortly.
Stay tuned!

You would think if this was so damn important than one of both of them would be present.
At 9am MeMyself? No one should be expected to be presentable at 9am. We’re talking about a pop star and a former backup dancer. They have lives too you know!

And, I can see them wanting to keep the court papers private, but surely they’ll allow DCFS to view the unedited version in the privacy of chambers.
i can’t believe that her atty has the audacity to say that the head of DCFS shouldn’t see the report. Obviously there is some hardcore evidence in there about her parenting skills.
I’m in England, Barks, so I forget what time it is in sunny California…
And I also forget how busy Shitney is these days…
I think she was being sarcastic because Britney’s attorney’s prior claims that a pop star shouldn’t have to submit to a drug test at 8 am.
I was being sarcastic myself.
I got your point, MeMyself
and I’m a man Anon 1:19.
