In what has become a long string of skinny blonde cover girls, full-time fashionista Mary-Kate Olsen has finagled her way on to the current issue of the once hip Nylon magazine.
Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan mostly recently graced the pages of Nylon while sis Ashley was the August cover girl.
MK on Ashley: “We have a lot of the same friends, but I like my space and I like to be able to do what I want when I’m in my space. I think that because that is my comfort zone — when I’m home — I want to do things at my own speed. We’re very close. We’re extremely close. I completely understand her and she completely understands me. We know what we’re going through emotionally. We deal with so many things everyday and we’re really the two only people who understand how it feels. I’m lucky to be able to go through these emotions with her — to share it and know I’m not alone.”MK on being an art collector: “I’m always lookg at different artists and photographers: Collection art is one of my passions. Right now I’m looking at….or people that I collect and am really inspired by are Racki and Thomas Rolf: they’re provocative and beautiful. Helmut Newton’s women are beautiful. Warhol”
MK on MK: “I’m a person that has high highs and low lows. You know, I am always growing emotionally and I’m very aware of everything that I go through and that I experience personally. I’m always learning something about myself, whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing, that I need to work on. A lot of things make me sad. Sometimes it’s almost easier to be sad. But you end up finding a balance and I think that as I get older I am learning what I can do for myself to make me happy.”

She’s got some pretty good things to say in her interview actually. It’s very insightful. I don’t think she’s the most gorgeous girl on the planet but I really think she’s got great individual style.

The only way she has style is when SOMEONE ELSE is styling her! Her hair, makeup, and clothes look decent in this layout–only because she was in the hands of a hair stylists, makeup artists, and fashion professionals.
Her own attempts at styling herself are always disastrous.

to just askin’:
you’re right there was a stylist but everything was basically mary-kate’s decision. it even says on the article. she was in charge of picking the clothes, photgrapher, stylist. it’s her style and she has great style, whether you like it or not.
