After serving a whopping 84 minutes in jail for a drunken driving and cocaine possession conviction, Lindsay Lohan enjoys a well-deserved cigarette break on the balcony of an L.A. hotel room on Thursday.
Meanwhile, pals Lohan’s ex-gal pal Samantha Ronson are coming to her defense. She’s been branded an “enabler” and a “bad influence”, but not so say friends of the deejay.
“People who know Lindsay and know Sam know she’s a good influence in Lindsay’s life,” a source tells Page Six. “Sam has stopped Lindsay from destructive behavior in the past, and where most people want something from Lindsay, Sam doesn’t. She’s not an enabler - she doesn’t do drugs. She’s completely stable.”
And what does Samantha have to say for herself? “It’s frustrating that I have to make a comment about my friends, but apparently taking the high road only generates false allegations.”
The “high road”? Oh, that’s rich!

It’s hard to think that she was the same little girl in the Parent Trap. I remember seeing that with my mom and her saying that ‘that little girl has a bright future ahead of her’….but look at her now. Three rehab visits before 21. I really hope she’s fixed up this time around. I don’t see anything wrong with her having a cigarette though and if she wants to hang around druggie friends that is up to her, as long as she doesn’t follow their bad examples.
