As if dads racing in high heels for Miley Cyrus tickets weren`t crazy enough, now comes news that 35-year-old Jody Powell hung on to a 12-foot statue of Hannah Montana in Tampa, FL, for the better part of six days (he got 12-minute breaks every three hours) to win tickets to a Miley Cryus concert.
It was all done for his 7-year-old daughter — coincidentally named Hannah.
Cute story, but the mental image of a grown man hanging off a massive statue of a 14-year-old pop star is slightly disturbing.

I find it disturbing that a 12-foot statue of this girl even exists. I wonder if the latest tween sensation can steer clear of trainwreck status. I’m betting on rehab by age 16.

my2cents, the show is cute. It’s very wholesome. The music isn’t very good, but she’s a cute kid. I would much rather kids be lining up to see her than Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan.
My kids like Hannah Montana too, but we are not crazy people.

That’s a bit pathetic. I don’t have children but I doubt I would love them enough to hang off a statue for six days for some concert tickets hahah. I’ve never heard this girl before but if she’s anything like the other Disney channel girls (Hilary Duff and that Raven chick) she can’t be that great.
