On Friday, for the first time since Alec Baldwin’s controversial answering machine message for his daughter came to light, attorneys for the actor and ex-wife Kim Basinger will appear in court to address ongoing issues in the couple’s heated custody dispute, the AP reports.
Kim stands accused of failing to heed court orders in the case, and faces 12 misdemeanors counts of contempt. If convicted of all, she could be eyeing up to 60 days in the clink and a $12,000 (shoe money) fine.
A separate hearing is slated for June 5, to discuss the tape and determine if its disclosure violated a court order to keep the proceedings confidential.

All they have to do is keep fighting for a few more years. Ireland will then be old enough to declare herself emancipated and walk away from this train wreck that never goes away. The poor child.
In a few years she can petition the court to become an emancipated minor. Until then its life with evil and even more evil.

I’ve got no love for Kim after that tape came out. It proves she has more interest in demonizing Alec than her daughter’s well being.

wtf is wrong with you people? alec’s behavior towards his daughter was HORRIBLE. i’m not saying that kim is the best person in the world but that guy has serious anger issues. he needs to deal with himself - i can not belive that people are siding with him on this. he’s proven himself abusive towards his child and that should not be tolerated.

kim probably is pretty damaged, but how pathetic that people are taking up for alec baldwin - a proven repeat-offender raging douchebag. this is just a case of DNA that should never have mixed.
I feel so sorry for poor Ireland!! Her parents are acting like stupid little children and I think both of them should have to pay for their immature and thoughtless actions. They are so busy trying to get back at each other than they haven’t even thought about what it will do to her. Everyone attacked Alec initially but I think Kim is just as much to blame. If I was Ireland I wouldn’t want anything to do with them until they both acted their age.
#8, i don’t think you can call someone out for anger issues based on one rant. every single parent i know has been guilty of worse things than calling their child a “thoughtless little pig”. imo, that’s pretty light.
they really just need to work out a joint custody arrangement. kim doesn’t deserve to go to jail, but she should definitely be fined for what she did.
