“I don’t think there’s one Republican I’d ever vote for. In terms of their corruption and their insensitivity to what’s really needed in our society, they’re repugnant. There may be a few good ones out there, but I haven’t read of any. Wait, there’s more. Whenever you bring up the issue [of global warming] with them, they’re like, ‘Let’s wait and see what the facts are.’ If we’re going to drill for oil, we should get on Crawford [Bush’s ranch in Texas] and put some oil wells there! I think this administration has been probably the biggest tragedy in the history of the United States.”

Sex and the City hunk Chris Noth offers up his views on the upcoming presidential election

There are wells on Bush’s ranch, natural gas wells that he (Pres. Bush) doesn’t even own the mineral rights to.

I’m a die-hard Libertarian that generally votes Democratic. That being said, one of the things that pisses me off the most are sweeping generalisations. Not every Democrat is a bleeding-heart liberal, not every Republican is an insensitive corrupt jerk. All statements like this do are reinforce stereotypes and increase animosity between parties.

He comes across as a dick, to be honest with you.

Bush’s Crawford house is one of the ‘green’est houses a public figure owns. It’s almost entirely self sufficient. It’s convenient to forget that isn’t it.

Wow, he’s a really smart guy. Too bad this evil Republican was going to see the only movie he’s done in his career, but I’ll be busy, doing oh, I don’t, corruption things…

Republicans love to pull the votes in during elections by ALWAYS hammering on GOD, GUNS, GAYS and don’t forget ABORTIONS. That’s how they always get the naive right wing Christians to vote for them. Then they spend all our taxes by making wars, but do zero to improve things at home.

And Kidge, you mention that not every Republican is an insensitive corrupt jerk. Come and tell us who is NOT a Republican insensitive corrupt jerk!!

Irish Gal, he sounds dickish I admit, but just look at how Republicans vote. I agree whole-heartedly that this administration has been the biggest tragedy in U.S. history. It’s outrageous that not one of them will be held accountable for what they have done. I also know Democrats aren’t perfect either and currently they are proving themselves worthless to end this war. But since 2001 I have been absolutely stunned at this batch of Republicans in power. I total tragedy. I hope it takes them decades to get the White House back. I hope the new Democrat President can start to undo the unbelievable damage Bush as done to this country and the world.

Right, and what about how the Republicans completely fixed the last election? Did you hear about what they did in Columbus? They are dirty, dirty players. If you don’t like the stigma, change your party.

how dare republicans say ‘wait let’s see what the facts are?!?!” soooo EVIL!!!
and btw, it’s the ignorant demorats that won’t allow new drilling or nuclear power.
    duh.
and liberal activist judges in massachusetts ruled on gay marriage, not karl rove, bot christians. and btw, only the lunatic from alaska endorses gay marriage..rudy and all dem candidates approve of civil unions. that’s because republicans have a large tent and can vary…dems must goose step to the party line like nazis.
i’m certain that this actor sends the IRS extra taxes every year to help with ‘what’s really needed in society.’ fricking chickentaxhawk
look, bush may well be the worst ever. he had it right in 2001, but the liberals beat him down and now he’s a falling anvil without a parachute.
but this elitist, ironically, closed-minded batch of modern liberals is actually killing any real chance of debate and dialogue.
they maintain and indoctrinate that all conservatives have ill intent which nullifies having to listen to them; that conservatives are all:closed minded, bigoted, homophobic, greedy, xenophonic, white, rich.
unfortunately, this BRAINWASHING that i used to be blind to is the main reason for the divided nature of the country as it stands today. conservatives simply think that liberals are:misguided, emotion based types. this actually encourages debate, and respect for others and focus on FACTS which libs hate for obvious reasons.
btw, demorats were just convicted in ohio for voter fraud…but don’t count on the media to tell you.
go to polipundit.com and search word “crime wave” or go back to liberal hibernationland. hope it’s cozy! i’ll drive the S4 around a bit to help.

^^Wow, so Republican stereotypes about Dems are helpful in forming discussions, but Dems’ stereotypes are just plain wrong? What planet did you grow up on? And I’d LOVE to see the democrats convicted for voter fraud. Was it even for the 2004 election? Was it a group of people, or some lone rangers out getting vigilante justice?

You’re exactly the reason people can’t stand Republicans.

I can’t take anyone seriously who defends that idiot Bush. I have Republican colleagues who seethe at what he has done to the Republican party and what he has helped do to the true “conservative” bent of the party. I can civilly disagree with them because I know they at least have working brain cells. But those foolbots who blindly defend Bush and his administration, who refuse to hold HIM accountable for the horrible and deteriorating social, cultural and political tenor and realities of this country… they’re just friggn’ idiots. Yeah, I’ll let the generalization stand.

454, if you can’t understand the distinction that i clearly laid out regarding ‘giving the benefit of the doubt’ when dealing with the intentions of the other side…you are not worth talking to.
before you castigate the repub constituency of religious voters who you deem to be dumb, best not to forget the legions of leftist voters who actually tip the scales in US elections: illegal aliens, non hs diploma holders, felons, dead people, ahmenijad, al qaeda spokesmen, dem plantation enslaved minority voters, degenerates, socialists, communists, anti americans and pre-schoolers worldwide.

Actually Adam in the last election, they did an objective study on blue vs. red states and their education status. Most of those degenerates and non HS diploma voters that you talk about are republicans. If you want to know more, I will gladly link you. It’s a known fact, so do me a favor and stop making up shit!

I really don’t have a particular political party that I stand for…I just look at the candidates and see who is most on target with the issues that they are promoting and the promises they are making. I think part of the reason the Bush Administration has been such a tragedy is because of the lack of support. It’s amazing to me that so many people voted him into office, yet there are so few people that still support him. I think 9/11 was probably the biggest issue that an American President has ever had to deal with and while Bush made some big mistakes regarding the War in Iraz, I honestly think he was doing what he thought was right for the country at the time. After 9/11 everyone was talking about revenge and not just sitting back and letting terrorist attacks happen and he responded to that…unfortunately it’s all backfired in his face now.

  27. Irish Gal
    27

WOW you all are so brainy. The BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH administration hasn’t done shit to you. You don’t like the war, so what. You aren’t in it. As for the money, the beautiful democratic congress would figure out whose backyard they would decorate with the money anyway. A true conservative is strong on national defense (shocking I know), low taxes, and small government (or in terms you can understand “keep the fucking government out of my life”). You can get all entangled in social issues until you choke, they have no place in government. You may not like President Bush, but you know where he stands. Hillard Clinton does not have a clue where she stands.

Ron Paul is mentally unstable. In Texas, LULAC is opposing a bill that will require photo identification in order to vote. Why? Because they want all of their illegal immigrants to vote for pro-illegal immigrant candidates. We’re being overrun by Mexico and South America down here, there are huge blocks of SanAntonio, Dallas & Houston where everything is in Spanish. Bush has done NOTHING to stop it, if anything he’s encouraged it. WHOEVER gets in needs to pay attention to the borders and send some of these people HOME! I don’t care if my tax dollars go to their own governments to try and weed out corruption and help their economy, they are KILLING us here.

the whole country is a mess. though not all reps or dems are bad, not enough of them are on the people’s side….to make anything better. the dems basically made fools of us by having us vote them into taking over in congress by promising to do all of the things that need to be done but they have done nothing. it’s going to keep getting worse, folks. Anon, why do you say Ron Paul us mentally unstable?.

  30. you guys are fucking idiots
    30

Big defines what kind of fucking idiot he is in real life. I can’t even be bothered responding to the stupid liberal comments here. Abortion and God are so important and preached about during campaigns by BOTH sides. However, we have not been attacked at home since this war began. Had slutty Clinton been paying attention, we would not have 9-11. God help Us if his pathetic, self serving “wife” gets elected. Watch out for a global attack on the US because everyone knows we will not fight once Bush is gone.
When will the liberal idiots take time to research legitimate sources? Michael Moore and Al Gore are laughing stocks of your “party”! Keep following the idiots and don’t look around!

  31. hairball
    31

Strong on defense? Explain to me exactly how invading Iraq is being strong on defense? Explain to me how the entire region is spiraling into instability? Just because you can start a war and talk tough doesn’t mean you’re strong on defense. And the by way, if you want government out of your life, then you would absolutely against all the illegal wiretapping and eavesdropping occurring on Americans. As for, you don’t like the war, so what, you’re not in it…? MY GOD. Please, do us all a favor Irish Girl and never vote again.

  32. hairball
    32

Um, you guys are fucking idiots…? Now I know the kind of dumbass who believes ‘we haven’t been attacked again’. WOW. I continue to be STUNNED by idiots who continue to be uniformed or just simply do not have the brain cells to reason.

  33. hairball
    33

And hey adam, liberals hate ‘facts’. Uh, yea………again, dust off your brain cells and do your research to how many facts this administration ignores, doesn’t know, or just changes. You actually made me laugh out loud.

  34. Anonymous
    34

Umm you idiots defending bush’s war on Iraq realise that it WAS NOT in retaliation to 9-11 don’t you– it was for Saddam’s “weapons of mass destruction” remember those?? Completely unrelated to Al Quada.
    .
Fuck I’m scared for the future of this country- we’re becoming more of a religious state parallel to the Middle East itself the longer conservatives are in power. How can this war criminal have not been IMPEACHED yet??

  35. hairball
    35

I’m scared too actually Anonymous. No joke.

  36. Irish Gal
    36

You chicken shits. Exactly who other than terrorists have been arrested for wiretapping. And why wouldn’t your pooooooosy ass congress vote it illegal, cause they know it’s important. It’s the eight years of your dick sucking president that got us into this mess. Region’s instability, what are you 10. It has been unstable for thousands of years. Kiss my ass on the vote. It is my right just like yours. And because you pansy assed liberals don’t know how to protect this country, someone has to do the dirty work for you. Let me remind you that CONGRESS, YES CONGRESS voted for this war. They are just pissed they aren’t the Commander in Chief. What fucking religious country. You ever try to put a Nativity scene on public property. You ever try to have a moment of silence in school. Grow up and pull yourself out of the Huffington Post and Kos files. There are real issues that need answers and not only it’s BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH’s fault. That bullshit doesn’t cut it anymore. Idiots. All of you.

  37. soshootme
    37

Irish Girl, Adam and others can defend Bush all they want and it’ll be of little consequence. The MAJORITY of people in this country believe - today - that this country is headed in the wrong direction; Iraq was a mistake and not worth it; Bush is a horrible president and the Congress is awful too. The same MAJORITY - Repubs, Dems, Independents and everyone else - also believe the economy will likely tank and we have good reasons to feel uncertain (terrorism is the least of it). This whole nightmare will be over in a year. Then we begin cleaning up the wreckage. I just wish those in the Congress would begin working together instead of playing this divisive bullshit. It’s a cancer that will sink us all. And it’s coming from both sides.

For all of you that seem to be infected with this and that of what everyone says, I would recommend that you listen Sean Hannity, http://www.hannity.com/ . He brings to light what really needs to be said and isn’t afraid to say it. It’s not the president that got us into this mess, remember that it trickles down. The majority vote of the United States voted Bush into office. He didn’t declare war by himself, he had advisors to help him, but yet we still give him heat. Everyone is complaning about how the war was a bad mistake and what not, yet if you look at the recent polls, it was fourth on the list of importance. There are more important things that need attention rather than giving some president who is almost up with their term attention. Instead we should be looking for a new Commander and Chief who will help the Citizens of the U.S. propser.
