Despite the icy cool temps, Rachel Weisz went short and strapless for the premiere of The Lovely Bones in Los Angeles on Monday night (December 7).
The 39-year-old actress was among the many stars who collected at the historic Mann’s Grauman Chinese Theater to check out New Zealand film director Peter Jackson’s highly-anticipated fantasy thriller.
The drama, based on the bestselling novel by Alice Sebold, is about a young girl who watches over her family from heaven after being murdered. She must decide whether to seek revenge on her killer or help her family heal.
The Lovely Bones – starring Weisz, Mark Wahlberg, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli and Saoirse Ronan – opens in L.A. and New York on Friday, and nationwide Christmas Day.

I think she looks terrible. I don’t have a problem with pale skin, but her legs look really dry and blotchy. Not the best look in a mini dress. I think she’s gorgeous though, but just does not look good here at all.

Not the best angle for Rachel but she’s a gorgeous woman. Saoirse Ronan looks absolutely fabulous! She’s maturing very gracefully. I think Saoirse is very talented and hope she has a very career ahead of her (if that’s what she wants).
