This just in: Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest will be back this year to ring in 2008 on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, starting at 10 PM (ET & PT) on December 31 on ABC.
Wonderful — what better way to ring in the new year than partying with a dude who suffered a stroke and another dude whose hosting skills can cause stroke.
What’s next? A cameo by Larry King?

Dick Clark needs to retire. I love him, and I know he’s been a staple on New Year’s Eve for years and years, but it was actually hard and sad watching him last year.
I hate NYE….always have. Even as a kid.
I think I have had 3 or 4 good ones my entire life, and that’s because I was on Ecstasy….lol
Ryan Gaycrest looks botoxed to the max. CREEPY. And I’m gonna ask again in case our illustrious blogger didn’t see the previous request: Please oh please add anchors to your code so that after hitting “Back” from a comments page it will jump to where you were before, instead of back to the top of the page. Your readers will thank you!!!
^^^^^^ I wonder what is going on, because I’m not having that problem, unless Arasto is in the process of psoting something……..,..
Wooooo! New Years!

Dick needs to retire, seriously, it can’t be that he needs the money. I think Mark McGrath from Extra would be good host.

Fupa, when I want to comment I right click and open the comment page in a new tab, when I’m done I just close out and I’m back where I was before I decided to post.
Oh thanx, Barks. I guess right-click > new tab is a good solution. I’m too sleepy right now to think that logically. ;o)
Kidge…..He was sad b/c he was recovering from a stroke.I am actually looking forward to seeing him on it again this coming year.
cmon…

That Ball that descends as the symbol of new year is LAME…they should do a dessign competition to get a better “device”
NYE always sucks because it is so damn hyped that it can never live up to it. It was sad to see him last year all slurring and looking so old. He really should retire as sad as that is to say.
What a flippin egomaniac. Dick Clark can barely speak. It was so embarrassing to watch him last time. Dosnt anyone one around him tell him the truth? Why is it “so sad to say” he needs to retire. He makes a fool out of himself every time he does it.
Ohhhh everyone’s being a bit harsh!! I love Dick Clark!! It’s not New Year’s Rockin Eve without him! Sure he’s getting older but this is his thing, he should be able to do it until he doesn’t want to anymore.
I’m not a big New Year’s fan either, I feel like there is too much pressure on people to have a good time. I always go out somewhere but its no different to any other night that I would go out really.
I love Dick Clark too! He’s “America’s Oldest Teenager” and deserves TONS of respect for all his wonderful years hosting American Bandstand and the New Year’s shows… and I must confess, I think Ryan Seacrest is a great TV host and radio celebrity.
Arasto… you USED to have anchors on your last blog…. please put them back on this one, as like Spank said, we will thank you! I’ll even add you to my xmas list.
God, show some freaking respect for someone who had a stroke arasto. It’s not funny to make fun of him. But I agree, that unless he is able to be understood clearly, then he should retire.
