A NIGHT OUT WITHOUT THE KIDS

angelina-brad-london-remember-copy.jpg

Leave it up to humanitarian extradonaire Angelina Jolie to join Britons by marking Remembrance Day by wearing a traditional poppy pinned to her coat while leaving Japanese eatery Roka in London.

The A-lister was spotted with babydaddy Brad Pitt leaving a night-spot on Saturday night displaying the bright red poppy in memory of thousands of soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Who knew Remembrance Day (or Veterans Day for all you yankees) could be so damn sexy?

Remembrance Day??? Poppies are distributed here in the U.S. in honor of Veteran’s Day. Same difference, I guess, except that Veteran’s Day commemorates all military, not just soldiers and not just those killed in the line of duty. We all should proudly wear our poppies. We wouldn’t be the greatest country in the world if it hadn’t been for those who sacrificed for our freedom. Thanks, y’all!

They both look utterly exhausted. No amount of makeup can hide that.

Thy should be tired, they flew to London from LA on Saturday and went out to eat later in the day in these pixs. Angelina worked on The Changeling Friday before she and Brad flew to London. Angelina has Beowulf premiere tomorrow. They will probably fly right back to LA after the premiere. There are other pixs of them and they look OK.

Yeah its also called rememberance day here in Australia, NZ and also in the UK- and it is to commemerate all those who have lost their lives in the line of duty especially since WWI- if RaraAvis is right it seems the US have taken some liberties with the holiday! (I don’t mean any offense to the greatest country or anything!)
Looks like a gorgeous coat Angelina is wearing but man I just cannot like those hats of Brads- not stylish on him!

That’s beautiful that she did that. I’m from Australia and we also celebrate Rememberance Day in honor of the ANZACS. I’m leaving Australia tomorrow :-( But back to my house which is in one piece :-) I have lived in the States for 7 years SAS but I definately think Australia is the greatest country in the world!

Yeah I’m staying with friends in Brisbane right now. I went to the Valley last night….so much fun!! It’s a shame about the weather but I’ve been in Melbourne for the last week for Melbourne Cup and the weather there was pretty good. It will be sad to leave but it’ll be good to get back home as well. I’m dreading the flight…I hate to fly!

It looks like Brad either has elbow length leather gloves on, or his sleeves end in “gloves”.

Sorry folks, didn’t mean to get your panties in a bunch. I live in the USA, so of course it’s the greatest country in the world to me. I would hope you all feel the same about YOUR country. And thanks to you all for the Remembrance Day info. Learn something new every day!
