Michelle Obama glittered in gold at the first White House state dinner at the North Portico of the White House on Tuesday (November 24) as she and President Barack Obama greeted Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur.
The strapless, champagne-colored gown, embellished with silver accents and with a matching shawl is the creation of Indian-American fashion designer Naeem Khan. Khan is well-known is red carpet circles — he has dressed Angelina Jolie, Beyonce and Queen Noor of Jordan.
With hair was pulled back in a sleek twist, Michelle she wore large dangling earrings and an armfull of churis, traditional sparkly Indian bangle bracelets.

The night before yesterday I dreamt that I got to meet Michelle Obama. I was starstruck. She told us about how she grew up always working on her intellect and education instead of her looks, even though she was a natural born beauty. It was an interesting dream. Love the dress!
