2009 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS: PERFORMANCES

Jennifer Lopez debuted Louboutins from her upcoming album, Love?.

The 40-year-old singer took a fall during her highly-anticipated performance.

The song started with Vince McMahon yelling his signature catch phrase, “Let’s get ready to rumble!” But halfway through the song, J.Lo climbed up the backs of her backup dancers who had bent over to create a staircase. Once at the top, she jumped off but missed her footing, slipped on the floor and fell.

She quickly recovered to finish the song but the camera caught her disappointment as she exited the stage. The camera also flashed to Marc Anthony, who looked visibly upset for his wife.

Sad. Her heart didn’t seem into it. She began lip syncing too early as well. Lots of mistakes for such a perfectionist.

LOL! Well, she got right back up so fast that it almost seemed like part of the routine. If someone had blinked, they would have missed it. Even though I’m not a fan, I have to say she handled that like a pro. I didn’t see her looking upset or her husband??? Was that in this clip?

That’s “2″ songs I’ve heard off her her new album and both suck! She is so past her prime she really needs to stop already. This performance was so stupid…

J-lo is past her prime and should retire with dignity and take Madonna with you.

That song is so freaking horrible! At least she feel when she was surrounded by fog so it wasn’t as obvious as it could have been–and hey, she didn’t even have on her “Louboutins” when she feel. That could have been much worse!

I didn’t see Vince McMahon anywhere. I saw Michael Buffer who is known around the world for ring introductions and his catch phrase “Let’s get ready to rumble”. You may want to fix that little typo.

I was hoping for Pitbull and fresh out the oven too.
Like a pro she popped up so quickly I barely noticed.

The song was probably the worst song of the night and that’s saying something. I do admit, she handled the fall though with complete professionalism. You barely even noticed it.

Ok, they definitely edited her performance on the West coast. As she climbed onto their backs and was about the jump, they played it in slow motion and never showed her a landing, or faling. LAME
