2009 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS: PERFORMANCES

The 2009 American Music Awards kicked off with an eight-minute performance by none other than Janet Jackson.

The medley included all the oldies-but-goodies: Control, What Have You Done for Me Lately?, Miss You Much, If, Let’s Dance, Together Again. She eventually arrived at new track Make Me, which referenced big brother Michael Jackson’s Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough by borrowing the song’s title for its own lyrics.

Janet looked and sounded strong as she ran through complex choreography in a business-minded brown-and-grey outfit at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.

She never really evolves. She does the same dance moves, puts out the same recycled records… boring.
