That shit he says about Britney cracks me up. I am guessing that was written after the VMA’s. Boring ass video though, just another rapper bragging about how he blows all his “hard earned” wealth. Alright… I actually liked it (esp. the beat). And I normally don’t like his stuff. Usually, I would write off songs like these as cliche hip hop crap, but seeing as how his album was inspired by the movie of the same name (American Gangster), he gets a definitive pass. The song has a theme which caters to the movie. I’m glad Jay is putting more thought and variation in his lyrics… I wish other hip hoppers/rappers would follow suit. Lupe Fiasco has great lyrics… nothing to do with Jay, just had to put that out there :o).
