After dazzling on the red carpet in a sequined nude number, Carrie Underwood slips into a buttery yellow strapless chiffon number to perform her new hit single, So Small, during the 41st Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville, TN on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the American Idol princess is an early winner at star-studded ceremony, taking home Single of the Year for her catchy little diddy, Before He Cheats, as well as coveted Female Vocalist of the Year.
Miss Underwood beat out country veterans including Alison Krauss, Martina McBride or RebaMcEntire.
No surprise there.

I think she looks beautiful! Sure its a little bit prom but its not like she’s a little pop star that runs around on stage. She’s a country singer and that seems to be the way a lot of the female performers dress. I think the dress is really pretty on her! The butterflies are a nice touch.

I don’t like country, but that song Before He Cheats was a catchy number. The girl obviously has some talent. I think she looks good considering it is a splashy awards show and everyone dresses up for those.

Jonas, right on. I think Carrie looks great. She could look cute in a paper sack. The thing I like about the way she dresses is that it’s always classy. We all see a lot of pictures of celebs that wear dresses or outfits that are either too short, wrong color, style etc. She always looks well manicured so to speak, her dresses are never gawdy or over the top. She doesn’t look trashy like some do. Kelli Pickler just likes to kiss up to the camera and show off her boobs. Now that’s unclassy.
Carrie was great–that dress was outstanding as were her performances. As a matter of fact the whole CMA show was good. The people who produce the Grammy’s need to take a look at this show to see how it should be done. These big award shows can be good when you keep all that rap crap out of them.
What I thought was great about the CMAs was the number of performances, it was one right after another right after another. The award & acceptance speech part was minimal. That is how award shows should be!!!
