Rosie O’Donnell has yet to blog about her possible television deal with MSNBC, but during her opening act at New York’s Comedy Festival last night, the controversial former talk show diva had a lot to get off her chest — including hints at a new TV project.

Here’s a little summary:

Rosie on her TV future: “You know I did a TV show last year. And we’re not gonna talk about it. It’s over! It’s over! It’s a new year, a new beginning. I’m talking to an unidentified network, and I was told I’m not allowed to mention this. You don’t tell me what I’m not allowed to say because I can’t help but say it. So when they said to me, ‘Don’t mention it,’ ” she paused, “No, I can’t. Men in suits called people I know and yelled. There’s nothing scarier than men in suits.”

Rosie on the internet: “I remember when I started my show and I said we needed to get online. ‘What do you mean “get online”?’ said the guy from Time Warner. Yeah … a little foreboding.”

Rosie on money: “If you have $100 million, and you want $100 million more, I think you’re wasting your life.”

Rosie on parenting: “Our oldest boy is 12, and Kelli is much better at discipline.” When her son struggled with an algebra problem, “I said to him, ‘Honey, there is no way to solve these problems. Your teacher is playing a joke on you.’ ”

Rosie on religion: “I always wanted to be a Jew. Five years ago (with Madonna’s guidance), I started studying Kabbalah. At first I thought it was a cult — what the hell is this? What’s the red string? Turns out that string is $32. And I gotta tell you, as a Jew, I was offended.”

She is so offensive it ain’t even funny. “Nothing scarier tahn men in suits”? except possibly big, fat lesbians with money and power! And the Jew comments are also extremely offensive. What a loudmouth idiot Rosie has turned into. Nothing receeds like too much success!

are you Jewish bush? why is it offensive? I AM a Jew, and I know it was in jest, so what was offensive about it? Just curious.
…and you sound like a homophobe.

Heh, some of her comments were pretty funny. I like Rosie too– she’s so unapologetically her. Is that a word? Hmm. And people find something to be offended at in anything… too much PC… But I still wont be buying her book.

paris; no i am not jewish, but rosie says she always wanted to be one, then vadge gets her into kabbalah, then what does she do but make stereotypical jokes about jews loving money. She is so hypocritical, even in her comedy. and no, i don’t even find it funny. and no i am hot a homophobe, i am a homosexual!

I can’t stand her, I wish she would shut up. I have nothing against homosexuals, but she has turned into such a loud mouth since she came out. I really liked her back in the day. HUM!! I wonder how Ellen, who has also come out, has become funnier since she came out and can be herself, but Rosie has turned into a loud mouth fat pig.

You know what a lot of Jews love?
    Being insulted.
They cannot get enough of stereotypes. She’s gonna be even more popular now…hahahaha
Also can we stop calling women dykes please? We are all presumably over the age of thirteen.

I love her I think she is funny and pretty real. What she said about $$ is true! It seems all these celebrities attain all this $$ and it still is not enough. Beyonce, Gwen, Jennifer Lopez….. they have hundreds of millions and they will put their name on any piece of crap they can find.

Those strings are seriously $32?!?! Good God just another religion that is raping people of their money and promising inner and eternal peace.

i have nothing against dykes, i used that word to be sarcastic, as that is supposedly what Rosie is doing with her ignorant comedy

now YOUR comment about Jews I find offensive, Supersonic.
I have many gay and lesbian friends, so I don’t normally use the word “dyke”, but Rosie fits that definition.

Can’t we all just get along??

so now, it’s the jewish religion and not the ethnicity of jews that makes them allegedly be more miserly than others?

Can’t stand her. When she opens her mouth all I hear is blah blah blah. She needs to shut up. She thinks people care a lot more about her and the View than they actually do. The show is a million times better now she is gone. She was crude, offensive and disrespectful. That was one of the best opportunities of her life and she blew it.
