Taking break from the Los Angeles set of The Changeling yesterday, superstar mom Angelina Jolie spends some quality time with her young son Pax while en route to her trailer.
The mum-and-son duo spent nearly an hour together playing games, doing school work and just chatting before it was time for Angie to hand Pax off to her bodyguard and get back to work.
Directed by Clint Eastwood, here is a synopsis of the film: “A mother’s prayer for her kidnapped son to return home is answered, though it doesn’t take long for her to suspect the boy who comes back is not hers.â€

I have to wonder…I know she’s dealt with EDs in the past, but is she staying so skinny so it’ll be hard for her to get pregnant? I keep remembering all the stories about how horrible her pregnancy was, so maybe she’s trying to avoid that again? I’m not sure how reliable that would even be, though.
Pax is adorable, all of the Jolie-Pitt children are really. Look at him with his little stuffed animal in that last picture.

Kidge - I doubt that she is staying thin in order to avoid pregnancy. Angelina and Brad gush constantly about adding to their family, biologically and through adoption. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her pregnant next year.
^I don’t really think she wants to have another baby of her own. Brad probably does but I don’t get that need from her. I also don’t think she is stupid enough to stay skinny to avoid pregnany. It is 2007 and there are more methods of birth control than one could ever need. She wouldn’t even have to tell him she was taking it. I think she just has an ED and needs to friggin eat.
To me Jolie resembles Olive Oyl more and more.
yeah, she needs to gain a few pounds, but that usually indicates more of a need for emotional healing than a sandwich alone.

Oscar Magic? I still am confused as to why people think she is just this great actress. And yes, I am well aware that she has an Oscar (for acting in a role that wasn’t in the least bit a far stretch from her own personality) And she was pretty good in Gia (again, not a stretch from real life) Other than that, someone please explain what role has been note-worthy. I am not speaking about her looks, or love life, or humanitarian work…I am speaking solely on acting ability. If anyone knows of a role that I should see her in that will cause me to eat my own words, I am totally up for it and will admit that I am wrong.

But staying thin to avoid pregnancy is the kind of thing that women with EDs do. It is not conscious decision. It isn’t rational, but that is part of why EDs are so devastating. People that have them don’t/can’t directly face the issues in their lives that are causing them pain. People EDs have a hell of a lot more to do than just eat to get better. Forcing them to eat is just a temporary solution. It keeps them alive, but it doesn’t deal with the underlying problems.
