Honorary pace truck driver Vince Vaughn cracks a few jokes as he greets the crowd prior to the 2007 Dickies 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas on Monday.
The 37-year-old actor looked more rested and alert as he tackled a wide variety of subjects from the press before the race.
Meanwhile, his latest flick Fred Claus is being panned, and more particularly, it’s Vince’s role as a smart-alecky, fast-talking, seemingly insincere hustler that makes this holiday flick flop.
Per MSNBC:
The comedy from director David Dobkin (who also directed Vaughn in “Wedding Crashers”) veers awkwardly from shrill, slapsticky physical humor to diabolical meanness (courtesy of Spacey as an efficiency expert) to reheated, snuggly sentiments about the importance of love and family.Clearly, he can do more. He proved it earlier this year in “Into the Wild.” But here he’s once again coasting on his well-worn persona, surrounded by esteemed, award-winning actors who are vastly overqualified and mostly look bored.
In other words, Bad Santa it is not.

How can anyone gets turned on by him? He’s so not good looking. Bug eyed, fat and unattractive. Jenifer Aniston must have dated him for his personality.

dd….i think people might be attracted to him for that exact reason…he’s NOT the typical good looking, tight bodied, gussied-up hollywood pretty boy. he seems very down-to-earth with a “fuck-it-i-am-who-i-am” kind of attitude. and he’s funny as hell! looks aren’t everything. i’m one of those people that would totally do him, and those are some of the reasons i like him

Jennifer and Vince were never a couple. It was just for the media. Her private life is hidden. Anything the tabloids and people see is done by her publicity agent.

I like him because he has that midwestern attitude of just being himself. I don’t really like the guys that are all prettied up. I must admit though the previews for his new movie look really bad.

He’s a ‘real’ guy and thats great but maybe he should stick to stand up. He is hilarious in a filthy kind of way (the best way!) but seriously he has one act and thats what he should stick to. I don’t really think he’s an actor any more. Oh well maybe he can prove himself by sticking to good scripts and not just whatever’s giving out the most money. It kind of ruins his whole ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude doesn’t it?

I remember when he was a GREAT actor! Before he started doing the filthy humor route. Which is fine, and a good laugh. But I think he should break it up a bit and do some REAL films instead of always stupid comedies all the time. Also, I’m very attracted to him, even though i KNOW he’s not attractive. There’s just something about him for me…

UGH HE IS SO FUCKING HOT! I know I might be in the minorty but he has such a beautiful face and the most kissable lips EVER! And he is funny as hell. If he would drop 5-10 pounds, I would marry him in an instant!!

This flick will make money guaranteed. All those kids love type of movie (Wedding Crashers, Old School, etc.) the crass-ier the better (is that even a word?)

I looooove that picture of him at the top- he looks like an 8-year kid waiting for the ice cream truck to arrive!

Vince is fine hes the best actor there is look at brad pitt whos so far up his own arse, i love a man whos down to earth and got a “i dont give a shit” attitude, hes amazing and I love him, I’ll marry you anyday Vince just let me know when, i’m all yours baby! xxx
