In their neverending need for press, Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian are the latest D-listers to pose for a NOH8 campaign.
The “silent photo protest” was created to help overturn Proposition 8, a California ballot proposition passed in the November 2008, general election. The measure added a new section to Article I of the California Constitution which read: “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.”
Says Khloe: “The passage of Prop 8 was an event that I still have trouble stomaching, and I’m sure many of you feel the same way. All people, gay or straight, should be able to get married and share the same rights — love is love and I can’t really fathom how and why people disagree with that. If you don’t want to marry a person of the same sex, then don’t! It’s as simple as that. Everyone should at least be given the option. There should be no limitations as to who we choose to spend our lives with, and there should be no outside parties helping to make these decisions for us. If someone had told me that I couldn’t marry Lamar [Odom], I would have told them to go F themselves! LOL.”

Adam- I disagree with you strongly!! Whether people want to admit it or not, not letting same sex couples get married is discrimination. Same sex couples contribute to this nation just like everyone else. They are doctors, lawyers, firefighter, etc, and most of all they are tax paying citizens who deserve the same rights as everyone else. As a nation we have a lot of growing up to do, and I think its sad that this is even a debate in 2009.
