Stepping out for an early morning stroll, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted out and about in London today (November 9).

Accompanied by a pal, the Oscar-winning actress had a poppy in her hair on the day after Remembrance Sunday.

Meanwhile, Gwyneth just signed up to star alongside Nicole Kidman in The Danish Girl.

The film, which sees Let The Right One In director Tomas Alfredson at the helm, tells the story of the world’s first transsexual.

As you may recall, Nicole joined the project in September, signing up to play Einar Wegener, a man who became Lili Elbe after a sex-change operation in the 1930s and Gwyneth has replaced the previously-cast Charlize Theron as Einar’s wife, Greta.

Painter Greta asks her husband to don a dress to stand in for one of her models, which sparks his desire to become a woman.

    I’ll pass on this flop.
Always same actors same awards, yet they wonder why audiences have turned away.
HW is so predictable and political.

That is such a sad story. Einar looked more female than male and had rudimentary ovaries so so his desire to become a woman was really not so far-fetched. Unfortunately, doctors tried to implant a uterus in him and he died from complications.

I’m really looking forward to this film to see how they handle the story and how the characters are portrayed. It’s very intriguing subject matter. I think the director will do an incredible job. I loved his film, Let the Right One In. And both Nicole and Gwyneth have the range to carry the story acting-wise.
