Paris Hilton may not be ready for her planned charity work in Rwanda, but she was up for judging a beauty contest in Tokyo today.
Paris and her younger sis Nicky each chose one finalist for the Miss Universe Japan contest. A dozen or so more will be selected next month.
Her appearance at a Tokyo fashion boutique to judge the contest packed the room with photographers and TV cameras. Gawking bystanders lined the street outside.
Says Paris: “I love Tokyo. The shopping is great.”
Yeah, and the attention ain’t too bad either!

Where is the priority? When will this madness end? Starving children with AIDS? Homelessness? People loosing their homes? Outragrous behavior. I am personally suffering from a terminal illiness and I can’t even get a dollar from anyone. I am loosing my home, and had been left a small estate from a woman who dearly loved me (and wanted to take care of my last remaining future in months) and now I have to battle step children who are coming out of the woodwork to claim money from their step-mother whom they have never seen in seven years….and I do not have the $10,000 to hire an attorney to combat them in court. Wish I had several thousand dollars to purchase a pair of sunglasses or a Fendi purse.

Ew I can’t stand what Paris is wearing. Yuk! It looks like she is trying to get into that Harajuku style. The girl in the middle next to Nicky is really pretty…she should get chosen. Her dress is Alice McCall…very nice! It’s great that Nicky is designing handbags and stuff but I don’t really like her designs, they are all a bit tacky looking.
Her and David Beckman are the biggest stars in Japan. I think it’s kind of sad and funny at the same time how the idealize Euro’s and Americans much more then they do themselves.
