After quickly downing a small breakfast, the 27-year-old pop princess was spotted with tea cup in hand as she waved to photogs while en route to her first concert on her Australian tour.
Meanwhile, it appears that Britney’s tour has run into controversy — even before it even began!
Officials from the New South Wales Minister for Fair Trading are suggesting concert goers should be told if the pop icon would be miming her songs.
Australians would not tolerate a “Mickey Mouse performance”, Virginia Judge tells Sydney’s Daily Telegraph in reference to Britney’s past as one of Disney’s Mouseketeer personalities.
“Let’s be clear — live means live,” she says. “If you are spending up to 200 dollars (182 US), I think you deserve better than a film clip.”

Isn’t it universally understood that Britney doesn’t sing live?
They should really make lip synching illegal. What’s the point of seeing a live show if it isn’t “live”– especially if you are one of those people who get tickets so far from the stage that you wind up watching the big screens anyways?
Better to use the ticket money for a better sound system and watch from home…
I took my daughter to see her, and it was SO OBVIOUS she never sang a word of her concert. NOT AT ALL. My daughter said she enjoyed the Beyonce concert a lot more because at least she SANG, even though it wasn’t the spectacle Brit’s show was.
I agree, live means live. Ha would be funny if they said she can’t perform if she lip-syncs. What would she do then?
If you’re paying to see Britney and you still think there’s a possibility of her singing live; more fool you.
I think the thing with Britney is that she is more about the performance than the singing. She always has been. She’s never really claimed to be a great singer, even though when I’ve seen live footage of her singing she is really good. I’m going along to a couple of shows while I’m here in Australia and I know that she will just sing along with a backing track. She’s done that pretty much her whole ten year career. It’s a shame she feels the need to, but if that makes her dance better and put on a better performance than so be it I guess.
It’s not even about being a great singer, it’s about actually performing live, I understand lip syncing a few songs if there is heavy dancing, but she’s hardly even dancing nowadays, mainly she just walks across the stage, flips her hair and moves her arms and she lip syncs the whole show- she doesn’t even sing to a backing track, she just mimes. No excuse for that, but the people that go see her are to blame because they accept it.
