Held at O2 Arena and marking 20 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, an audience of over 17 000 attendees were on hand to check out performances by hip hop rock impresario Jay-Z, the famed Foo Fighters, sexy superstar Shakira, Oakland-based Green Day, British sweetheart Leona Lewis, Germany’s own Tokio Hotel, and a historic performance at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate by Irish rock legends U2.
Presenters included Backstreet Boys, Juliette Lewis, Miranda Cosgrove the Jonas Brothers, Jesse Metcalfe, Bar Refaeli and Italian beauty Monica Bellucci.
Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz hosted the 2009 EMA: All Access digital show giving fans the ultimate backstage pass.
Lady Gaga and Kings of Leon lead the nominations with five each, followed by Beyonce with four and Green Day with three.

Katy’s dress is BEAUTIFUL! She’s been making really great red carpet choices lately. I’m thinking she might have got a stylist. Beyonces…tight and flashy as usual. How predictable.
