The multi-talented couple was looking a little less than human as they graced the red carpet at the L.A. premiere of Beowulf at Westwood Village on Monday.

Her coat is beautiful and her makeup looks great, simple but enough. Brad’s looking a little rough, but he isn’t exactly ‘young’ anymore. There are also pictures of Anthony Hopkins, Oliver Stone, Sean Penn, Warren Beatty and Robert Zemeckis. Very star studded indeed.

I was there this evening. Sure the actors are above-average in appearance, but it doesn’t seem to matter anymore within the actual films. The characters were so digitized as to look pretty much inhuman, especially the females. The women’s faces were so smoothed out that they didn’t really even resemble their “real” selves, yet the men were shown with wrinkles, warts and even nose hair! So it would appear that here in Hollyweird perfection in women is no longer enough. The next big thing is hyper-reality, thus rendering real females obsolete. It’s rather a sad day when audiences prefer to see computer-generated effects over plot, storyline, dialog and humanity, all those quaint things that they used to do with cinema. No, we have not come a long way, baby…
^^veronique, that’s interesting. i was telling my husband a while back that once computer animation of humans are perfected that there won’t be a need for real actors anymore… so maybe then actors will start behaving themselves. haha maybe i wasn’t too off the mark.

Angie looks good here– I like the coat, but it’s something I’d never want in my wardrobe… I’m way too short for it and I would look like I was playing dress up. She looks pretty unreal in the top photo, almost like a wax doll. Brad could have put some effort into his appearance… I mean, this is a movie premiere! Anyway… as star-studded a cast as it may have (Hopkins, Robin Wright Penn, blah blah)… I have no desire to see this. I would have preferred a live action… from the previews I’ve seen, it looks silly.

Great coat but an odd choice for a premiere, isn’t it? I bit scared that her weight loss has tilted toward something dangerous.
