What’s better than one Oscar award host? Two Oscar award hosts! (Duh!)
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Tuesday afternoon (November 3) that Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will host the 2010 Oscar awards. Martin has hosted twice before, but this will be Baldwin’s first time.
While last year’s host, Hugh Jackman, added song-and-dance savoir faire to the broadcast, Martin and Baldwin will gravitate more toward comedy and seem to be planning something akin to a brotherly squabble.
“I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin,” Martin said in an e-mailed statement — presumably joking.
Baldwin, meanwhile, suggested that if there is going to be musicality from the host, it will be from Martin’s side career in bluegrass.
“I don’t play the banjo, but I’m thrilled to be hosting the Oscars — it’s the opportunity of a lifetime,” the 30 Rock star said.
The Oscars broadcast is set for March 7 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

I’ll pass on the asssssssss.
The awards are no longer about talent.
I think this is a great combo to host the Oscars together, unfortunately I haven’t watched an Awards show in at least 5 years.
Great combo, in part because Baldwin gets conservatives’ panties in such a twist.
You filthy little pig .
