In case you missed it, check out NYC natives Jay-Z and Alicia Keys perform their hit single Empire State of Mind on the field at Yankee Stadium prior to Game 2 of the World Series this evening (October 29) with smiling Yankees and Phillies and cheering fans looking on.
Jay-Z was decked out in full Yankees regalia while Miss Keys stunned fans with purple high-heel boots that went to mid-thigh. Players like Joba Chamberlain and Derek Jeter, meanwhile, can be seen bopping to the song’s beat.
The Yankees have been playing small excerpts of Empire State of Mind over the P.A. system at Yankee Stadium as a kind of unofficial playoff anthem. It usually plays as Jeter comes up to bat.

Great performance…the energy was hard to create because of the size of the stadium, but still dope nonetheless. Alicia Keys was looking sooooooooo right in those jeans…my gosh. I’m not even into her like that, but damn.
