Jennifer Hudson was among a handful of celebrities who stepped out tonight (October 20) to attend the 2009 Angel Ball at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
Hosted by songwriter/socialite/philanthropist Denise Rich, the star-studded bash aimed to raise funds for Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation, a non-profit organization created to encourage the development of more effective therapies for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers.
Star attendees on hand to hobnob in the name of charity included Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton, Howard Stern and wife Beth Ostrosky, Star Jones and rapper/producer Swizz Beatz.
Meanwhile, though she gave birth to son David only a few months ago, J.Hud has already managed to lose most of her post-pregnancy pounds!
“I’m still working on it,” the Oscar-winning actress tells People mag. “I’m eating right, exercising, cutting sugar out of my diet. That’s pretty much it, and walking every day, making sure I do some kind of exercise.”
The first-time mom also gushed about her little bundle of joy. “He’s the cutest thing in the world,” she says. “He’s working on turning over.”
She adds: “He honestly tries to talk. I sit and try to have conversations with him. Really, no words come out. But he doesn’t know that. He’s trying.”

jHUd has a beautiful voice and is a deep spritual nice person> I look into the soul of a person damn the fat.. love me some Jennifer Hudson, she has a good man , beautiful baby and im sure will marry when shes ready.. seems shes losing a little but hope she doesnt let these idiots get to head and lose too much weight.. !! After all the pain and tragedy that she has had i wish her nothing but the best and her weight is definetly not a damn issue with me~!!
Jennifer Hudson has always been very comfortable with her weight and in her skin. Jen is loosing because it is something she tries to keep at a healthy level. A size 12 or a 10 is a size she is very comfortable at. A very beautiful multi-talented young amazing artist. The level of talent she is bring have her at the top all by her lonely. One of the most underrated artist in the industry. Jennifer is still not getting her props as a top rated singer. Her big voice is very easy on the ears. She has the best high and low pitch voice in the industry today.
