Better late than ever, right?

Nearly an hour after the red carpet extravaganza, Lindsay Lohan was snapped arriving at the 2009 Whitney Museum Gala in New York City on Monday night (October 19).

Looking bleary-eyed and exhuasted, the 23-year-old actress posed endlessly for the handful of photogs who were still remaining.

Meanwhile, it appears Lindsay is living in fear of just how far her father is willing to go to save her.

Inspired by the turnaround Britney Spears experienced under her father’s conservatorship, Michael Lohan reportedly hopes a similar arrangement could work for his own daughter. But he may have taken his concern a step too far when he offered to act the part of a well-intentioned abductor if the courts wouldn’t cooperate.

“If I can’t get a conservatorship, then I’m going to take her to an undisclosed location and get her straight,” Michael has been quoted as saying. “But I know I’m going to get charged with kidnapping.”

That certainly won’t happen under Lindsay’s watch as she’s reportedly in the midst of fiiling a restraining order to keep him far outside of kidnapping range.
