Dressed in Amanda Woodward’s signature short skirt, the 48-year-old actress flashed photogs a quick smile before sneaking inside her trailer to run over some lines.
Meanwhile, Miss Locklear’s young co-stars are oohing and ahhing about her return. Says Ashlee Simpson: “She’s great. She’s fantastic. I really, truly believe that she’s part of the heart of the show. She’s so sweet and has a great energy, so it’s great to have her on the show.”
Adds fellow Melrose resident Stephanie Jacobsen: “Heather’s amazing. She is so warm and so unassuming that you would never guess she was Heather Locklear.”
Heather is scheduled to make the first of her multiple appearances starting with the show’s November 17 episode.

I have always really liked Heather despite some of her bad decisions and bumps along her career. She always comes across as so happy and sweet to the papparazzi and I’ve never heard of her ever being a bag or mean to anyone. I’m glad she’s on the show and I hope she stays. The show is getting pretty lame so my fingers are crossed she’ll bring back some of the bitchiness the original Melrose had lol
