MARIA SHRIVER SORRY FOR BREAKING THE LAW

After getting busted earlier this week as photogs caught her using her cell phone while driving (a big no-no according to California law), Maria Shriver has now issued an apology.

“I’m sorry,” she says in a statement. “I will be donating my favorite old cell phone to my Women’s Conference partner Verizon through their HopeLine program that helps domestic violence shelters. I invite anyone else who wants to recycle their old phone to join me. That’s my version of swift action with a higher purpose.”

That’s hardly what I’d call an apology. Hell, she’s not even sorry she got caught.
