Tending to a morning of errands, Ellen Pompeo got soaked from the rain while out and about in Hollywood today (October 14).

Seeing as she has a new baby at home and rain in L.A. is about as common as a heat wave in Siberia, it’s understandable that the 39-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actress could forget an umbrella.

Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that Ellen’s marriage to Chris Ivery was saved by the birth of their daughter.

As you may recall, Chris was allegedly cheating on his lady love with a teenage restaurant hostess identified as Rachel Artz in May, only a month after they announced Ellen’s pregnancy.

After spending time apart after the cheating reports surfaced, they were apparently brought together by the birth of their daughter Stella in September.

A source has been quoted as saying: “Ellen was really upset by the rumours. She and Chris were spending time apart for a while to see how it went.”

Now, the new parents are focusing on baby Stella. “They’re happy and so in love with their new addition,” adds the insider.
