“I can see further additions to the family — both adopted and our own,” the 34-year-old actress tells the publication.
It appears that the A-list couple plan to add another two children, if not more, to their family. “They want one more biological baby and an adopted baby — for now,” a source tells Life & Style mag. “But who knows what the future holds. Some people get addicted to drugs and alcohol, but Brad and Angie are addicted to children.”
So, what prompted the decision? Angie’s recent trip to Syria as part of her gig as a Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees.
And while their attempt ot help the needy is more than admirable, the implications of a growing family affects the six they already have. “Rescuing children out of third world countries is wonderful, but it’s very stressful each time another person who has his or her own needs and demands and who’s also competing for attention and love is brought into a family,” says psychotherapist Jenn Berman, author of The A to Z Guide to Raising Happy, Confident Kids.
That said, Angelina understands that her decision might be a little more than she can handle. “We have to make sure we can devote enough time to each of them,” she tells Stylist, referring to 8-year-old Maddox, 5-year-old Pax, 4-year-old Zahara, 3-year-old Shiloh and 15-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne. “There’s always one of ours demanding that I help color in something very important with crayons.”

unless you have one, people can never understand how big families manage. i agree that hers must be hard because of them all being pretty little, but i grew up in a house with 7 other siblings and never once was stressed by “another person who has his or her own needs and demands and who’s also competing for attention and love is brought into a family” because siblings have each other, along with their parents.

Hmmm, why is no one going off on the Duggar family for having 20 kids??? Because some people just have to hate on Brad & Angelina. They can afford them so it doesn’t matter. Seriously multiple-kids families need to be compared to regular families in order to know the difference in parental attention. I am not sure anyone who has been in a similar situation can be objective about it - that was ‘normal’ to them. The question is: as compared to what?
I doubt Kate Gosselin’s kids or the Duggar kids or the Octomom kids are having a parental environment comparable with 2-kid families.
Sure they have siblings - but isn’t that making a virtue out of a necessity? And, since when did that substitute for parental attention?
