BRITNEY’S ‘3′ GOES #1

Britney Spears is still a vertiable himaker — and here are the numbers to prove it: According to Billboard, the 27-year-old pop princess is the first artist in more than three years to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, to be released tomorrow (October 15), as her new song, 3, opens at the top of the chart.

The last four songs to open at No. 1 on the Hot 100 were all American Idol generated.

Congrats, Brit. You deserve it, girl!

    Yeah the song’s nothing to write home about but good for her. I’m actually surprised that no one has debuted at #1 in 3 years either.

    The lyrics and theme of the song just scream desperation. I doubt she deserves it since the song is generic crap and she didn’t write nor produce it. I mean, she hardly even sings in it.

    Whatever way you guys wanna look at it, Britney is an icon. Whether you like it or not. She’s changed music in a big way, and she’s a big influence on people who are here big today. Hilary Duff, Lady Gaga, & Miley Cyrus all look or looked up to Britney at some time. She’s gonna be around for a while, GO BRITNEYYY
