ANDERSON COOPER THOUGHT OBAMA NOBEL PEACE PRIZE “WAS A JOKE”

34779pcn_cooper02

Enjoying a rare break from the suit and tie, a casual Anderson Cooper was seen signing autographs for fans after his appearance on Live with Regis & Kelly today (October 9).

The buff broadcaster and host of Anderson Cooper 360° was a guest co-host on the morning chat show.

During the live show, Anderson revealed that he thought it “was a joke” when he heard President Barack Obama had won the Nobel Peace Prize.

He went on to make joke himself stating that Regis and Kelly were on the list to win the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Nice recovery.

True the nobel is a joke just like obama.
The overrated AC is also a joke, no matter how many chat shows he does to promote himself, he is still dead last at CNN in the ratings.

did he get the award for leaving iran and honduras in the dumps while overseeing the deadliest year in afghanistan?
or was it because his “home town” of chicago had more murders this year than we suffered in iraq and afghanistan the last two years?

Me too, Anderson, me too. Husband woke me up this morning by whispering ‘Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize!’ And I’m all…’Whuzzat? Huh? Thaz pose be funny? Snot funny’

I swear I would have been less shocked if my husband would have said ‘Morning babe. The earth just spun of it’s axis. Hold on to your ass.’

Its is a joke, and the joke’s on us. Obama is proving to the world that what most of them think of Americans is true. We were the ones smart enough to put him in office. Abraham Lincoln once said, “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” Think about that for a minute.

^^^^True, and Abe Lincoln the best president ever was a REPUBLICAN.

That is a misleading write up. Cooper was genuinely saying that when he heard the news he thought someone was kidding around because it was a surprise. He wasn’t saying he thinks it’s a bad decision. The Regis and Kelly chemistry prize comment was on a completely different topic. They were talking about Letterman’s show last night and Anderson told kelly she’d come up in Dave’s monologue when Dave said Regis and Kelly’s chemistry is so good they should win a nobel prize for chemistry.

Yes greg, it took him by surprise because Obama has nothing on his resume that would merit winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Therefore, Anderson Cooper and the rest of us were taken aback by the announcement. Even the biggest Obama supporters have to have a moment of clarity and admit this was a bit of a stretch to say the least.

I thought we had progressed ahead far enough in society that we don’t just hand people awards because of the color of their skin.

Remember when they threw shoes at our dunce of a president?

What I find so intriguing is that Americans don’t usually care who wins the award and most cannot name more than two or three recipients, if that. So, why do people who are avowed haters of the President care one way or another if he wins this award? This isn’t something that he lobbied for, it’s something that he won. Only in America would a segment of the population root against the US getting an Olympic bid and bellyache about the sitting President of our nation winning this prestigious award. What happened to the patriotic right? I guess they only love America when someone who looks like them is in the White House.
And forth, it’s a sad commentary that you feel compelled to reduce his award to race. He is an accomplished man by anyone’s standards and trying to make it about race simply shows that your antipathy towards Obama is about his race and not anything else. Sad, but not surprising.

Seriously . . . .this is a joke . . . not demo . . . not repub . . . . I AM an American who believes in the form of republic government. Obama. . . .if he were a peace maker would graciously return this award on the basis that there are far more people in this world deserving of the award and the money. He would honor the intent of the award by doing so how ever as will be seen he will do no such thing as this and the call for true peace is outside of his domain. He is a puppet for the NWO and all his actions and associations speak to such.
    Let’s nominate Ronald McDonald for poisioning . . .err. . . feeding the world. Wow … . .Obama . . . .seriously? . . . gotta laugh because i am done cryin’ over ‘Imperialistic America . . .One Corporation under darkness . . . . beholden to darkness . . . . spreading darkness by force . . . . to every nation near you

It IS such a joke. Nice try “hmm”, but NOT ONE PERSON has mentioned race here. It has nothing to do with that. It has EVERYTHING to do with him doing NOTHING to deserve the prize. Look at the list of people who were also being looked at for the prize, and you’ll be as embarrassed as the rest of us that our puppet, oops, I mean president, received the prize.

Reggie.. right i remember that, he should have hit him you see how he ducked it and then laughed like a damn kid~!!

I do find it rather ridiculous considering so many others on the list before him have devoted their whole lives to humanitarian efforts and uniting nations. The Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela. Basically he got it for the “Hope” that he brings. Don’t most people have hope. Please!!!!!!
