Melanie Brown was all smiles as she left The May Fair hotel in London this afternoon (October 9) for her evening’s adventures with her husband Stephen Belafonte.

The 34-year-old Spice Girl was in great spirits considering she had a narrow escape when she was almost knocked down by a taxi during a bike ride in London.

The singer otherwise known as Mel B. was enjoying a late-night cruise through the British capital last night when she swerved in front of a cab outside the couple’s hotel.

The taxi driver came within a whisker of colliding with Mel — but he clearly saw the funny side, yelling at her: “You stupid Spice Girl!”

An onlooker is quoted as saying: “Mel was lucky the driver saw her in time otherwise it could have been a nasty accident.”
