American President Barack Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”
The Norwegian Nobel Committee said: “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future. His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population.”
The committee added that it gave special acknowledgement to Obama’s works making his vision of a world without nuclear weapons into a reality.
“Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play.”
The prize — worth a cool $1.4 million and often called “the world’s most prestigious prize — will be presented to Obama in Oslo on December 10.

The worst president is generally considered to be Warren G Harding folks–Carter was one of the worst–history will probably show Bush to be a poor one also. Lets keep one thing in mind–Obama has been in office for less than ten months !!! He doing extremely well; has a lot of good stuff going. Give the guy a chance–ten months is nothing in politics. When the economy is in as bad a shape as Bush left it he needed to move far and fast before the entire economy slid into the toilet. He did damn well.
